Google Assistant coming to all Android Phones Having Marshmallow or Nougat OS

Google Assistant was launched in May 2016 at Google I/O conference. This new voice assistant was termed as an upgrade to Google Now feature. At the time of launch it was only available to Pixel phones running latest Nougat Android Operating System.

Now Google has announced that Google Assistant will be made available to more phones. All the android devices running Android 6.0 and Nougat 7.0 will automatically upgrade to Google Assistant in phased manner.

Google Assistant is made available to user in US first, followed by English speaking users in Canada, Australia and UK. German speaking people in Germany are also among the firsts to get the Google Assistant. Google is going to support more languages and regions later this year.

Google also plans to bring Google Assistant to much more devices other that just mobile phones. Company plans to connect TVs, Smart Watches and cars with Google Assistant in coming future.
