Google introduces shopping facility with your Google Assistant on Google Home. Now Google assistant will help you in real time. This will enable you to shop whatever you desire and there is no need to visit stores in a busy schedule. Just make a list of goods which you want in your daily life and command your assistant to order them.
Just say “Ok Google, how do I shop?” or “Ok Google, order paper towels” to start your shopping with your smart assistant.
Google has stated in its blog
“Starting today, you can shop for your everyday essentials—from paper towels to vitamins. You’ll be able to order from participating Google Express retailers, including Costco, Whole Foods Market, Walgreens, PetSmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and more than 50 other national and locally available retailers.”
Google is making efforts to ease the life of users by introducing wonderful new features on Google Assistant. Google Home is the platform where Google Assistant is working even more interesting.
To shop with Google Assistant on Google Home, you just need to add information such as delivery address along with payment details on Google Home app.
As this is initial phase of smart shopping feature, Google assistant will have some limitations. By the time Google will expand the potential of the assistant and add new features to enable purchases for apps and services also.
You don’t have to worry about the set-up on Google Home as it is pretty easy. Launch your Google Home app and go to “More settings” then scroll down until you find Payments option. Click on it and fill the required information. That’s it. Now your shopping assistant is ready to purchase items which you need.
