OnePlus officially revealed the brand-new flagship smartphone OnePlus 5T and its sale will begin on 28 November via Amazon India and OnePlus store. The Chinese company is offering the same price tag as the OnePlus 5 but OnePlus5T brings some upgrades like bezel-less display, dual camera setup and more.

OnePlus 5 vs OnePlus 5T design and display
This time OnePlus offers 6.01-inch bezel-less display which is Optic AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution and 2.5 Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The company has also introduced a new Sunlight display in OnePlus5T which automatically adjusts according to light. The fingerprint button is placed on the backside of the phone along with on-screen navigation buttons but in OnePlus 5 we have an option for switching capacitive navigation buttons and on-screen navigation buttons. In OxygenOS you can easily customize home, back, and multitasking buttons.
The OnePlus5T comes up with 156.1x75x7.3mm dimensions with 162 grams weight while the OnePlus 5 comes up with 154.2×74.1×7.25mm with 153 grams weight which means the new variant is quite bigger and heavy than the original one. The company released OnePlus 5T only in Midnight black color but the OnePlus 5 came in Midnight Black, Slate Grey, and Soft Gold colors.

The specifications of the OnePlus5T and OnePlus5 are mostly similar except the camera. The OnePlus5T comes up with octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at up to 2.4 GHz coupled with 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM which is same seen in OnePlus5. The OnePlus 5T is backed up with non-removable 3300mAH battery which is also same used in OnePlus 5 and both devices support Dash charge fast charging technology.

The biggest change between OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 is the camera. This time Chinese company providing all-new dual camera setup in OnePlus5T. They removed the Telephoto lens and replaced it with large aperture lens by which you can capture images with true colors and full HD+ images. The OnePlus5T ships with 16 MP and 20 MP dual camera setup on the rear which is the same setup used in OnePlus5 but now the sensor of 20 MP camera which is the IMX350 Telephoto sensor is replaced with the IMX370K sensor but without the telephoto sensor, OnePlus 5T can’t support 2x optical zoom feature. Both camera sensors on the rear come with f/1.7 aperture. Now you can easily capture images and record videos up to 4k resolution with 30 fps and 120 fps slo-mo videos in HD resolution.

The Chinese company improved their security by providing face unlock feature in OnePlus 5T. This feature scans 100 facial identity points to detect the correct face. You can double tap on screen place device on the front of the face and it will start scanning your facial identity points to unlock the phone. According to the company, the face unlock feature is 99% accurate but will be less secure than fingerprint lock and password lock.
