Netflix, the streaming giant has confirmed a major change to its video-streaming service which is annoying most of the subscribers. Netflix subscribers state that they pay for watching seamless episodes, they don’t want any interruption while watching the Netflix series. Netflix has started playing video promos between the episodes and the subscribers who are experiencing this test are twitting to show their displeasure. This test is not applied on all the subscribers so Netflix is showing full-screen personalized videos with content recommendations only a bunch of subscribers.
Tweets from the annoyed testers:
Netflix confirmed with TechCrunch that they are performing the test by playing video promos in series.
“At Netflix, we conduct hundreds of tests every year so we can better understand what helps members more easily find something great to watch.” Netflix statement to TechCrunch.
“In this particular case, we are testing whether surfacing recommendations between episodes helps members discover stories they will enjoy faster. It is important to note that a member is able to skip a video preview at any time if they are not interested” added to it.
By reaching Netflix, Mashable tried to configure the number of users who are affected by this new testing and other details of displaying promo videos but they were unable to gather information.
The subscribers should keep patience during the testing phase as Netflix would not introduce any feature which will be disliked by the users.
