As per Microsoft’s Advance Notification, June 2011 Patch Tuesday will be a big one with total of 16 bulletins will be released to fix 64 vulnerabilities found in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, .NET, SQL, Visual Studio, Silverlight and ISA. Out of 16 bulletins Nine are rated as “CRITICAL” and rest as “IMPORTANT”. All the Bulletins will be released on June 14, 10am PDT.
Cookie-jacking is one issue Microsoft has taken seriously and released a fix for it in this issue. Cookie-jacking allows possible attacker to get his/her hands on users browser cookies and get details of websites user has logged into. Two bulletins are released for Internet Explorer which update ie 6, 7, 8 and latest version ie 9.
