Vivo Z5x with 6.53″ Punch-hole Display, 5000mAh Battery available on Pre-order

Vivo has officially launched a new Z-series smartphone called Vivo Z5x on 24th May, 2019 in China. The Z5x comes with a punch-hole selfie camera design which makes it Vivo’s first phone with such design. The punch-hole camera is located at the top left corner of the display. The design ensures that the bezel at the top edge remains thin, just like that on the sides.

On the front, it sports a 6.53-inch punch-hole display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. the display on this device offers 90.77% screen-to-body ratio. The device comes powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC featuring the Kyron 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.

In the camera department, the Vivo Z5x sports triple camera setup on the rear with a 16MP primary sensor+ 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor+ 2MP depth sensor on the back. On the front, a 16MP camera for selfies camera with minimal bottom chin, The camera cut-out on the top left corner measures just 4.59mm in diameter.

In the storage capacity, the device comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage of this device. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based Fun Touch OS 9.0 out of the box and support in-house Multi-Turbo mode which includes AI Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Game Turbo and more. It is backed by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 18W dual-engine fast charging. Even with such a large battery, the device measures just 8.85mm thickness.

For the Connectivity options, the phone will include a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro USB 2.0 port. The device also packs a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor but this device does not come with the in-display fingerprint option. The phone features a metal body with well-chamfered edges. The volume button, as well as the power button, are located at the right side of the display. The left side houses the dual-SIM card slot. It measures 162.39 x 77.33 x 8.85 mm and weighs 204.1 grams. It will be available in Black, Blue, and Grey color options.

Talking about the pricing, the base variant of the Vivo Z5x with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1398 (approx. INR 14,000) while, the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1498 (approx. INR 15,000) and CNY 1698 (approx. INR 17,000) respectively.

It also comes in 8GB + 128GB storage options and its costs CNY 1998 (approx. INR 20,000). The Vivo Z5x will be available for pre-orders starting tomorrow and sales will begin from June 1st. As of now, there is no information about the launch of this device in the Indian market.
